Here are a few resources for finding images that you are free to use for your digital storytelling projects:

FreeFoto - a million photos that can be used for educational uses. Please read the attribution section carefully.

Flickr - to find photos that you can use for digital storytelling, go to "Explore" and choose Creatvice Commons. Once again, you need to check the attribution and usage for each image.

Morgue File - photos by journalists that were not used in publication. Free to use.

Library of Congress - go to the American Memories collection. Thousands of original documents and historic photos.
